Why Renting

When you rent used consumer electronics from MatKon Circular Renting, you contribute to a longer product life as well as an optimal reuse of its raw materials.
When you return the product to us it will either be rented to a new user or taken apart so we can make new products, made from the plastic that used to be on your computer, monitor, speaker, or other electronic device.
All of this takes place in MatKons’ own facilities just outside Copenhagen, or with our partners in Denmark.

Can everyone rent products from Matkon?

Circular Renting is a B2B initiative. In order to be able to rent a product/products from us you have to have an active CVR-number that you will have to provide to us during the process of booking of the product.

How does the rent work?
  • Add the product/products that you want to rent to the cart.
  • Fill in your Billing details and other information required.
  • Write your rental period in Additional information. There is no limit to the renting period and you can switch to a longer term at any time.
  • Place your order.
  • We will work on your order and get back to you with the confirmation as well as the further details within the next 2 business days.
  • The rented item will be delivered by MatKon with a delivery date as specified in the order confirmation/agreement.
  • When the order is delivered to your shipping address, you will be billed monthly. The rental period does not start until you have received your device.
  • After your minimum term has expired, you can continue to rent your device or end the rental by sending the item back free of charge.
  • The minimum period of time you can rent an electronic device/electronic devices from us is 3 months.
  • The maximum rental period is individual and completely up to each customer’s needs. As it was mentioned in the previous section you can yourself decide for what period of time you would like to rent the product/s from us.
When do I pay the first month's rent?

Your first rental payment will be collected once we have confirmed your rental request. This is usually 24 to 48 hours after ordering.

The following rental payments are made on the day of the month on which your order was delivered to you. Example: If you ordered your device on August 1st and it was delivered on August 4th, the 2nd rental payment will be made on September 4th. The 3rd rental payment is due on October 4th, and so on until the rental period ends.
Your payment is always taken monthly one month in advance (August 4th – for August, September 4th – for September etc.)

Can I buy my rented device?

No. We want to contribute as much as possible to the circular economy by reducing the number of electronic devices purchases. Once bought, most of the products often end up unused in a drawer or as electronic waste. You can help us with our goal by renting equipment for as long as you need. By reusing and refurbishing, we can extend the life cycle and use of devices, helping to save resources and reduce e-waste.

What happens if the rented product stops working?

If the rented device stops functioning and it’s NOT due to the damage caused by the customer, you should inform us about the defect as soon as possible. In this case, we provide free shipping in connection with the return of the rented item. If it’s not possible for us to fix the damage or find the same/similar item in our stock then your renting period will be considered as ended as of the day you informed Matkon about the item’s defect.

I sent my device back, why was another payment charged?

If you placed the return after the day your next payment was due, you will automatically be charged for the following month. Contact us if you have send a product back before you received a rent charge from us.

How long does the delivery take?

After the order confirmation, delivery usually takes 1-3 business days (unless otherwise has been agreed with Matkon during the booking process).

How can I return the device?

If you want to end your rental, you can send your product back free of charge after the minimum term has expired. You can order the return label by sending us an e-mail with your order details.

Which payment methods can I choose?

You can pay by invoice, card or MobilePay.
If you have more than 1 month renting agreement, we recommend you to make Subscription through your bank or MobilePay.

How can I change my personal information?

Need to update your phone number or change the address for your next order? No problem, please feel free to contact us at rent@matkon.com and will make all necessary changes.

What Company information do I need to provide?

Purchaser name, Company name, CVR, telephone number, address, e-mail. In order for your order to be successfully fulfilled by Matkon, it is particularly important that you enter your data correctly and completely when placing your order.
